Richard F. Hayes, CPA

 
Richard has been working in the field of public accounting for over 20 years.  A man of many hats, he is not only a licensed CPA, but a business consultant, entrepreneur, proud citizen of the United States , and devoted family man.
 
Richard’s career in finance began in 1988, upon graduation from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree, concentration in Accounting.  Richard joined the CPA firm, Larsen Allen (formerly Chastang, Ferrell, Sims & Eiserman , PA. )  Richard started with the firm as a staff accountant, and quickly rose through the ranks to become a senior tax manager, directing a professional staff of 20.  Richard had the opportunity to work with key clients and grew to become a trusted advisor.  Richard developed his expertise in tax planning, and business consulting in part through real world experience.  In 1990, Richard entered the Master of Taxation Program at UCF while studying for the notoriously challenging Certified Public Accountancy exam, which he passed on his first attempt.  Richard joined professional associations, including the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and served on several Boards of Directors.
 
In 1995, Richard made the momentous jump from employee to employer, founding his own firm, Hayes & Associates, CPA, PA.  What started as a sole practitioner has developed over the years into a full service CPA practice with a permanent staff of five, and a network of professional affiliates, enabling Hayes & Associates to offer clients a range of professional services, tailored to each client’s needs. 
 
Anticipating his clients’ needs and listening to their business challenges led Richard to found Florida Payroll in 2007.  A natural outgrowth of Hayes & Associates , Florida Payroll offers not only payroll services, but also a complete package of administrative services including human resources, commercial insurance, health insurance and benefits.
 
Richard has enjoyed many years of practice across a variety of industries, including construction, real estate investment and development and professional services as well as general business and individual taxation.
 
Richard enjoys working closely with his clients to advise them in their business decisions, financial matters, and tax plans, with the ultimate goal of helping them succeed.  He fully understands the challenges facing business owners and entrepreneurs, because he shares the entrepreneurial spirit.  From his first foray into the business world as a paperboy, to subsequent ventures leading up to the founding of Hayes & Associates, and Florida Payroll, Richard has firsthand knowledge of the demands and rewards facing business owners today.
 
It’s no surprise Hayes & Associates has developed a reputation as a trusted firm, with a client base that continually multiplies through client and professional referrals.
